This year saw the 12 Media Forum Stuttgart. The discussions revolved around the 50 anniversary of the Recruitment Accord between Germany and Turkey, what were the possible effects of the so-called Sarrazin controversy on integration in Germany as well as what were the current effects being felt on European immigration and refugee policy of the political unrest in the Arab world.

The "Media Forum Immigration" has been for the last 20 years one of the leading conferences covering the area of Media and Immigration.

The "Media Forum" is organised in cooperation with the public broadcasters in Germany, the Media Academy from the ARD and ZDF, the Deutsch-Türkisches Forum Stuttgart, the German Association for the United Nations and the Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations, ifa.
