"SWR International's makes an excellent contribution to the integration of immigrants, not only from Croatia, but also from various other countries". With these words has one of the largest Croatian daily newspapers, "Slobodna Dalmacija" praised the internet presence of the integration and immigration editorial department at SWR.
The daily had not only received a tremendous number of email and postal votes for SWR International, but the organisation committee of the German-Croatian integration prize had also judged the website as being "exemplary, topical and informative" in regard to encouraging integration.
The integration award "Goldene Blüte" (golden blossom) from the daily "Slobodna Dalmacija" was presented to Prof. Karl-Heinz Meier-Braun, the editorial head of SWR International and SWR's integration commissioner at a special function in Grosskrotzenburg near Frankfurt am Main.
The paper's committee had looked at Croatian and German internet portals in Switzerland, Austrian and Germany. 15 German-Croatian websites were nominated amongst them the Deutsche-Welle.
